Destiny

Film score / Orchestral

Listen

Objective

As a devoted listener of film scores, I’ve always been deeply moved by this genre. It extends the life of a work beyond its viewing, rekindling its emotions and atmospheres. As a filmmaker, it’s also a precious source of inspiration for creation.

One day, while writing a screenplay and—as often—listening to film music, I realized how difficult it is to detach from the universe these compositions are tied to. That’s what sparked my desire to compose three pieces designed as film scores… but without a film.

The idea: to create a sound experience free of any predefined image or narrative, allowing each listener to fully make the music their own. In this way, everyone is free to let their imagination run wild, without being influenced by an existing work.

Creative Process

The creative process was fairly straightforward. For several weeks, I devoted my days to exploring the specific codes of this musical genre, in order to better understand, internalize, and incorporate them into my compositions. Before long, I began producing. Most of the work was created in my small studio, set up in my garage.

Despite a very limited budget, my goal was to get as close as possible to what an orchestral piece could offer, without betraying my original intentions or the simplicity that guided the entire creative process.
